The Payday Devs are Making a Walking Dead Game
OVERKILL software know their way around making co-op video games. The Payday series is a great example of how to do co-op games with its strategic and exciting heist missions.
Now OVERKILL and Starbreeze have partnered with Skybound Entertainment to do a co-op game set in The Walking Dead universe. We haven’t had one of these yet and it certainly was a sorely lacking genre for this universe. Given the success of Left4dead, you’d think it would have been done already.
The trailer above gives few details beyond a disturbing death and a 2016 release window. So it’ll be a while before we get any real game play, but if you are into The Walking Dead you should definitely get hype. As stated above, OVERKILL are masters of this genre and there’s no reason to think they’ll let us down.
