This past Wednesday, we took a quick look at Life in the Woods, a new Minecraft modpack that expands the base game without adding a ton of new technology. We did this for a couple of reasons. First off, it’s a cool mod if you just want to play Minecraft with a bit more to do than the vanilla version. Secondly, we’re kicking off a community server for this specific mod. If you missed the first look, take a gander at the video and see what Life in the Woods is all about.

If you did see the stream, and are excited to hop into Minecraft again, we’ve got good news for you. KBMOD’s Minecraft server is now live and ready for public access. Since this isn’t a vanilla server, there’s going to be a bit of setup, but we’ve tried to make it as simple as possible for you to start playing. Head over to the forums to see the whole process and give us your feedback on the server. If you’ve already got your install of Life in the Woods setup and ready to go, just add as a server.

Our original intention was to divide realms into Twitch subs only and public users, however that isn’t an option at the moment. We’re working on some things for our Twitch subs specifically and if the server proves extremely popular there’s a chance we’ll spin up a sub only server. For now, just get in there are starting mining and building. If you find any issues or problems, make sure you let us know in the forums.
