KBMOD Interview: Andrew Jones of Perfect Parallel

I had a chance to sit down with Andrew from Perfect Parallel to talk about their new title Perfect Golf.  If I have a weakness for a specific game type, video golf is likely it, so when I saw this, I couldn’t wait to play it!

Perfect Golf is still in Early Access, but Perfect Parallel has big plans for its future. Courses are all geographically referenced and built with real time physics. We got a chance to tour the links and talk a bit about the development process, what’s been implemented so far, and what’s to come. The game feels good, and I am thrilled they’ve included the three click swing mechanic as your default play mode.

Perfect Golf definitely has the rough edges befitting Early Access.  The game is lacking in any sort of control remapping options at this point, and I couldn’t make a gamepad work with it either.  The lack of real indicators on where your ball is going to land on a swing, coupled with the fact that each individual club has it’s own variable power meter, also makes the learning curve quite steep. If you’re looking for a simulator, you might have found your next  golf game. But for a fun, casual round of golf with friends, you may want to look elsewhere.

Perfect Golf is currently available via Early Access on Steam.

I'll drink a beer with you at a party. I know hardware things and enjoy talking about them. I am still your new best friend and most trusted confidant.
