KBMOD Podcast – Episode 48

Episode 48 means another notch closer to the 1-year anniversary of the KBMOD podcast! The full crew is present this week, but Scott is late as usual, so Alex starts us off with a rousing musical number. In what we’ve been playing, we discuss how fantastic Bastion is and recap this past weekend’s awesome community game night. In the news, we discuss mind-bending puzzler Perspective, a bold prediction about free-to-play from the COO of EA, Mojang’s Scrolls entering closed beta, the Maximum PC build guide debacle, TF2’s Pyromania event, Valve turning Portal 2 into an educational tool, and more! This week’s roundtable centers around jobs in the gaming industry and how to get your foot in the door. As always, your Twitter questions range from the mild and sincere to the borderline-insane, and we tackle them as only we can. Enjoy!

I have made several suggestions to Jared Gerritzen and he has replied to every single one of them. I mean Jared is a very rare developer but if I had a problem with something in his game I will say why and not insult him or his game. Making feedback in anger is never the right way to go.

    • TrippingBowser says:

Jared Gerritzen who is the developer for Tribes has the youtube account ItsPapaJared and he has been doing videos about getting into the gaming industry. This is the first video in the series http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=da91CPpiOyU

I’m pretty certain he works at Zombie Studios, and thus works on BL:R, but other than that, you are right. His videos are awesome, and the concept is great. On a sidenote the podcast was great.
