In the news, Valve surprisingly lays off a whole bunch of people, Tribes: Ascend adds a single purchase option with its Game of the Year update, and Bungie/Activision unveil a big-budget cross-platform shooter called Destiny. That discussion leads into a mini-rant on a pretty silly and arrogant quote from one of Bungie’s co-founders.
