Extra Life 2013 – Prepare Your Wallets (for generosity)

A few short weeks ago, those of you following Paul from Newegg on Twitter might have gotten a hint that big things were in the works for our Extra Life team this year.

To give you a bit of back-story, Paul had been kind enough to join us for Episode 82 of the KBMOD Podcast in early March, and we then had the pleasure of meeting him at PAX East. I had been gathering prizes for our “world famous*” Extra Life LAN Stream, and emailed Paul on a whim to see if he could put me in touch with a few hardware manufacturers.

Every now and then, you’re pleasantly surprised that someone goes above and beyond out of the goodness of their heart… Even more rarely you’re completely blown away by unabashed generosity.  Paul and his executive producer, Mr. Lam, had an opportunity to discuss my request and decided contribute in a huge way themselves.  They thought that it might be a great opportunity to update their 3, 2, 1 build video on the NeweggTV Youtube Channel with a bit of help from KBMOD, and offered to donate the final assembled PCs for our fundraising efforts.

Today, Scott, John, Brandon, and Nick are at Newegg HQ participating in a build off as our crack team of professionals
