First Look: Rollers of the Realm
We first got our hands on Rollers of the Realm back at PAX East 2014. They were part of the indie booth and when we first saw the words “pinball RPG” we weren’t sure what to think.
Turns out this effort from developer Phantom Compass is not only unique, but also damn fun! Last night we got to take a slightly early look at the game and played a couple hours of the story. You can watch Dan play the first 45 minutes of the game above, including a look at the options and PC features.
If you haven’t played a pinball game in a while or you miss having a pinball title in your library, definitely give this game a chance. The RPG side of it adds awesome layers of character, fun, depth and strategy to the genre. If your interest is peaked, the game is available for $9.99 on Steam right now. For that price, it is a bargain for the hours you could put in having fun trying to unlock items, characters and boards to play on!
