1QuakeCon Pre-Registration Opens Tonight!
As we mentioned on this week’s podcast, pre-registration for QuakeCon opens tonight! QuakeCon is a massive LAN party that takes place every summer in Dallas, Texas. This year’s event is from August 2-5 at the Hilton Anatole.
Though the QuakeCon remains completely free, Bethesda began offering paid pre-registration packages as of last year. Attendees have the option of putting down some cash to reserve a specific seat, get special swag, or even get reserved access to panels and presentations. Check out the three options and their respective benefits below:
BYOC Select-a-Seat: $30 (limit of 1,500 packages available)
- Select and reserve a guaranteed seat of your choice in the BYOC area
- An official QuakeCon 2012 BYOC T-shirt
Swag Pack: $40 (limit of 500 packages available)
- An official QuakeCon 2012 T-shirt
- A Dishonored Tallboy T-shirt
- A Special Limited Edition Poster
QuakeCon Done Quick: $50 (limit of 350 packages available)
- Select and reserve a guaranteed seat of your choice in the BYOC area
- Express lane fast-pass registration for the BYOC
- Express lane fast-pass to every speaker, panel, and public event at QuakeCon
- Limited reserved access seating for all panels, presentations, and events
- An official QuakeCon 2012 BYOC T-shirt
You can find more package details here, and all the madness begins an hour from now at 8:00PM EST, when the countdown on the QuakeCon registration page hits all zeros.
Having attended QuakeCon last year, I would strongly recommend that anyone planning to participate in the BYOC consider grabbing the $30 package to pick where you sit and get a T-shirt. The $50 QuakeCon Done Quick package is also well worth the money, but you have to be fast on the trigger, as it will likely sell out within minutes.
If you’re going to QuakeCon and want to sit with the KBMOD group, keep an eye on my Twitter feed over the coming weeks for coordination details. Are you as excited as I am?!
