This week’s bro cave comes to us from forum member lukasensei. With dual monitors, a SteelSeries headset, and a couple of LEDs in the case to light up late night gaming sessions, he’s ready to hang with the KBMOD bros!
Hey bros, it’s been a while since I posted, but since I have finally settled into my new humble abode, I’ll re introduce myself via bro cave. My name is Luke or lukasensei on Twitter and Steam and this is my cave.
My rig has undergone a few changes since moving. The biggest change has been the various cards I’ve had in it. I started with a 6950, which done goofed. From there, I moved briefly onto a borrowed GTX 260 from work, which was just a bad time. Then I purchased a cheap 6450, which served me well until my latest purchase of a XFX 6850, which is just swell. Also I picked up a cheap 650D off eBay, which made me so happy because the case is just sex. And to round it all off, I was able to pick up an i7-2600 from a kind and loving friend.
So as it stands now, my specs are:
CPU: Intel i7-2600
CPU Cooler: Hyper 212+
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68 UD3P
Graphics Card: XFX Radeon 6850
Memory: 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws
Hard Drive: 2x 1TB Samsung Spinpoint
Optical Drive: Lite-On Blu-Ray Drive
Power Supply: Gigabyte 720W
Monitors: 24″ ViewSonic (primary) + 24″ AOC
Case: Corsair 650D
Headphones: SteelSeries Siberia V2
Mouse: Microsoft mouse of some sort (waiting for a Xai from Hong Kong because I don’t like to pay full price for anything)
Mouse Pad: SteelSeries QcK+
Keyboard: Logitech G110
Right now, I’m loving this setup, but there are a couple of upgrades I will look at in the near future. A new keyboard is on the agenda, as well as switching out the AOC monitor for a 120Hz BenQ monitor and picking up a new set of speakers.
As far as games go, lately I have been able to start playing a lot more, which is nice. I play LoL, CS:S, and Promod all day, but I do need some single player stuff to get into, so please recommend!
