Alan Wake Confirmed for PC

UPDATE: It will also include both previous DLC packs for no extra cost. (MaximumPC)

Alan Wake, the hit console game is finally coming to PC.  Considering how good it looked on Xbox 360, it should be a real beauty with the power of a PC behind it.  The game was originally developed for PC before being scrapped and moved to consoles.  Hopefully the consolization of it doesn’t effect the quality we get in the end.

Remedy confirmed today that it will be released in early 2012.  There is no information yet on whether or not the new Alan Wake game (Alan Wake’s American Nightmare) will be released to PC.

I’m guessing they’re just going to reuse the old code so it “shouldn’t” be a console port? If the game started out as a PC title a console port shouldn’t happen.

I was over this game a couple years ago when they stopped development as a PC game and decided to go console with it. It might be cool, but I kind of get the feeling it’ll be a shitty and won’t offer anything that we don’t already currently have at market.

Would love to play this if it’s priced fairly, and isn’t a horribly done port.

Kind of sad we had to wait over a year to get it. I played it on my consolol so I most likely wont be picking it up. If they don’t release the new alan wake for pc I will cry myself to sleep…. Nah not really, Its a good game but not worth all of that.
