7Child’s Play Fund Raiser – Live from the Puzzle Basement
It’s that time again everyone. Now that the holidays (and their subsequent Steam sales) have passed, and your wallets have had time to recover, we’re kicking off our yearly charity events with a mini-LAN for Child’s Play!
Keep your calendars open from March 8th – 10th because we’re broadcasting live from the one and only Puzzle Basement at Dan’s house for a staggering 32 hours straight to raise money for Child’s Play. This event will be slightly different from last year’s Extra Life event. Sadly, due to limited space, this event will only feature the Pittsburgh bros and instead of a free for all, we thought we’d do things differently from a game play standpoint.
We’re going to take the Minecraft Marathon approach and play several classic PC and retro titles straight through. We plan to show off some of the PC classics like Doom II, Diablo II, Descent, & Duke Nukem 3D as well as some more modern games. Our resident retrophile Sean will also show off some old school console games like Sonic 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3, and Dan and I will be racing to see who can beat Mom the fastest in The Binding of Isaac. We might even let NuketownNoob play some Need for Speed if he’s lucky.
So get ready to help kids in need all over the country. We can’t wait to start gaming and we’ll see you live on our Twitch channel! In the mean time, if you’d like to donate early, you can head over to the Official Child’s Play Donate Page and start giving right now!
